Jewelry
Art has always been a part of my life. I was an awkward, shy child and did not play sports or take dance lessons. I took art lessons instead. Just give me some paper, pencils and crayons and I’d be happy.
As an adult I have worked in pastel, paint, collage and assemblage, all of which has influenced my jewelry. I view objects not for what they are, but for what they could be. I have become a sort of magpie that collects trinkets wherever I go. Each piece I create begins with an element I create or a found object. I then use color, texture and shape to tell a story. The end result is a wearable piece of assemblage art.
I hope you enjoy wearing my jewelry as much as I enjoy creating it.
